Frequently Asked Question

Q1. Does SkinWear™ Come Off When I Handle Food or Soil My Paperwork When Touched?

A1. No, the product binds to the outer layer of the skin, and when it has dried [after 60 to 90 seconds] it will not come off. SkinWear™ is not greasy and as such will not leave marks on your paperwork. When SkinWear™ is used as a "wash and rinse" product, the built in cleanser is removed.

Q2. Does The Product Come Off When I Wash My Hands?

A2. SkinWear™ is a water-soluble protection, so when you wash your hands, approx. only one of five layers is removed. The benefit of the part of the formula that you retain is that it prevents the dry feeling associated with most other barrier products. If you feel a tight feeling on your skin it must not be associated with dry skin, but seen as confirmation that the "invisible defense" is still in place.

Q3. How Long Will SkinWear™ Remain Effective On My Hands?

A3. SkinWear™ will last for 8 hours without rinsing and will self dissapate. Your SkinWear™ gloves will remain effective for 8 hours or more. It is recommended that you re-apply after 4 rinse cycles for best results.

Q4. Why Do You Claim You Have A Built-In Cleanser?

A4. Most products sold today are barrier creams and require additional cleaning agents. Our product has a unique "dirt packing" system that allows the user to wash his/her hands without using any additional cleaning agent. The formula will lift the dirt and grime from the skin and pack it for easy removal. The fact that dirt and grime does not stick to the basin after washing is confirmation of this amazing ability. SkinWear™ can also be used as a most effective, but gentle hand cleaner. When you work the gel into your hands you will be able to remove most stubborn dirt.

Q5. Why Must I Wipe My Hands Before I Wash Them?

A5. Some soiling agents such as oil will form a water-repellent barrier over SkinWear™. The chemical/electrical polarization needed to pack and remove the dirt cannot fully take place and will result in unacceptable results. When you wipe the excess soilant (paint, grease, oil etc.) away you allow the water to come in contact with the product and activate the cleaning process.

Q6. Does The Skin Still "Breathe" And Perspire While Using SkinWear™.

A6. The product has been developed to allow the skin to "breathe" and perspire naturally. This one-way barrier is most effective and will not cause discomfort to the user. It will also allow the "good" resident skin spores to continue their normal healthy functions.

Q7. Can I Ignore Mandated Or Recommended Safety Laws When I Wear The Product When Exposed To Dangerous And Harmful Chemicals Or Germs?

A7. No, never ignore any mandated or recommended safety requirements. In such circumstances, SkinWear™ provides a secondary line of defense against dangerous chemicals or life threatening microbes. This second line of defense will assist you should your first line of defense give way or start leaking. SkinWear™ will give you sufficient secondary protection and the necessary time to take preventative measures when such accidents occur. SkinWear™ will continue to provide ongoing protection after the mandated or recommended equipment is removed! No. You need to at all times follow the safety and security laws of your country or company. SkinWear™ could play a very important role as a secondary line of defense if you are accidentally exposed to severe soils and damaging agents.

Q8. Does The Use Of SkinWear™ Accelerate The Exfoliation Process?

A8. We also discovered that certain workers experience a speeding up of the exfoliating process. The hard and callus skin tends to shed quicker to allow healthy new skin to come to the surface. Peeling that is not painful is more often than not a sure sign that improvement is on the way.

Workers sometimes report that their skin started peeling soon after they started applying our product. Such claims must be carefully investigated. We discovered that the skin peeling that they report is actually the "second skin" that we created that is peeling and not their own skin that is now falling apart. There is usually no discomfort experienced by the worker that reports this tendency. We discovered that this is almost always a sure sign that the harsh chemicals that they are exposed to are "cooking" our protection. The worker previously did not notice this because the upper layer of this skin is already so thick and callus.

Q9. I Am Afraid That I Might Be Allergic To The Product, What Can I Do To Test If SkinWear™ Is Not Suitable For Me?

A9. In our experience, the chances of allergic reaction are fairly remote. We however suggest that you test the product in the following manner. Apply a few drops of SkinWear™ to the inner part of your upper arm. Leave it on for eight hours and check if you experience any discomfort. If you have a severe reaction to the product we suggest that you first see your doctor and discuss the matter with him before using SkinWear™. If you experience no discomfort at all after this test, you can use the product and should not experience any discomfort.

Q10. I Tested The Product on My Arm And Experienced No Discomfort, Redness Or Allergic Reaction. However, When I Applied It To My Hands, I Feel A Burning Or Itching Sensation And Experience Some Discomfort. I Sometimes Also See Red Spots Or Bumps On My Skin After Application Of SkinWear™. Why Does This Happen?

A10. We have found that workers who experience discomfort notwithstanding the sensitivity test indicated above usually have historical damage to their skin. The soiling agents they are exposed to in their line of work or the cleaning agents used in the past may have caused some damage. We suggest that such users get advice from a dermatologist or health worker before they use the product. SkinWear™ highlights damaged areas and acts as an early warning system for workers. Most workers with mild discomfort report that their hands improved within 7-10 days after using SkinWear™.

Q11. I Am Wearing Gloves In My Profession, How Will Your Product Help Me?

A11. Hands perspire when gloves are worn. Moist, warm areas are ideal breeding grounds for bacteria. Gloves might prevent damage to the hand, but when removed, bacteria within the gloves can be passed to the mouth or eyes, be absorbed through the skin or be passed to third parties by handshake or other casual contact. When you apply SkinWear™ before you put on gloves, you are preventing this bacteria growth. When the job is done you can go to any wash facility and wash your hands without using any additional cleanser. The protection afforded by SkinWear™ will also help eliminate odors associated with wearing gloves. NOTE: SkinWear™ can be applied over gloves to prevent cross contamination.

Q12. What Will Happen If I Put My Fingers In My Mouth Before I Wash My Hands?

A12. SkinWear™ is non-toxic and you will not suffer any ill effect whatsoever. You might not like the taste, but it will not poison you or your child. Even if you ingest some of the product it will not cause serious after effects. You should however keep the product outside the reach of children as with any chemical agent. See a doctor if a substantial amount of SkinWear™ is ingested. Drink plenty of water.
